What is track lighting?

What is 1-circuit track lighting?

There are two types of track lighting: 1-circuit and 3-circuit track lighting. With 3-circuit track lighting, 3 different lighting groups can be created. This allows the 3 groups to be controlled independently: you can switch the 3 groups on and off separately and dim them separately.

With 1-circuit track systems, you only have one group and can use only one switch per track. All lamps therefore switch on or off simultaneously, or are dimmed at the same time. This system is generally cheaper to produce because less material is required. The 1-circuit tracks are also flatter than the 3-circuit tracks.

• Track lighting is easy to install and assemble.
• The track can be cut to size with a sharp hacksaw.
• Each 1- or 2-metre track is supplied with an  end cap. 
• The track can be connected via the ends of the track using an  end power feed. This is included as standard.
