Install 1-circuit track lighting

Welcome to Qub's 1-circuit track lighting system. This system lets you install lighting in your home or business easily and flexibly. Ideal for individuals and businesses looking for a modern, movable lighting system.

Package contents

Depending on your order, you will receive:

1-circuit rail

Available in 1 or 2 meters, in white or black.

Power connection

For the power supply. By default, the power feed is at the beginning of each rail.

End caps

For a neat finish. Each 1- or 2-meter rail comes with an end cap.

Connectors (optional)

For connecting multiple rails.

Track spots or pendant adapters

Suitable for Philips Hue light sources.

Cover strips (optional)

For a neat finish to the rail.

Step-by-step installation

Safety first: turn off the power before you begin.

Preparation

Choose the desired location and measure the length of the rail.
Make sure the mounting surface is level and sturdy.
Switch off the power.

Cutting the rail to size (optional)

Allow for the extra length that connectors and connection pieces may add.
Cut the rail to size with a hacksaw.
If necessary, make a new notch for the connector so it fits correctly in the rail.

Mounting the rail

Choose suitable wall plugs and screws for your ceiling or wall.
Hold the rail against the ceiling and mark the screw holes.
Securely mount the rail with screws.

Tip: If possible, work with two people; this makes installation much easier.

Connecting to the power supply

The rail can be connected in three ways:

End feed – included as standard
Centre feed – to connect the power in the middle of the rail
Corner feed – for a corner setup

Remove the cover from the power connection with a screwdriver and connect the wiring:

Connection	Wire color
L (live)	Brown or black
N (neutral)	Blue
Earth (if present)	Yellow/green

Turn the power back on and test the track.

Installing connectors (optional)

Loosen the connector screw.
Slide the connector correctly into the track.
Check that the copper strips are making good contact.
Tighten the screw again to securely connect the tracks.

Installing fixtures

Installing a track spotlight

Slide the block down, click the track spotlight into the track, and tighten it.

Installing a pendant light adapter

Unscrew the adapter.
Connect the wires correctly: L (live), N (neutral), earth (if present).
Screw the adapter closed and mount the lamp.

Installing a light source in the track spotlight

Unscrew the housing of the track spotlight to access the socket.
Insert an LED light source into the socket.
Tighten the housing securely again.

Note: only suitable for LED GU10 light sources.

Installing a track spotlight on a 1-circuit track

Use and maintenance

Track lighting requires little maintenance. These steps will keep your system in good condition and working safely.

Please note: always switch off the power before cleaning the track, moving fixtures, or replacing a light source.

Moving fixtures

Switch off the power.
Loosen the track spotlight and remove it from the track.
Click the track spotlight into the new position on the track and tighten it again.

Cleaning

Clean the track and fixtures with a dry or slightly damp cloth.
Make sure no moisture gets into the track or the connections.

Replacing a light source

Switch off the power and let the light source cool down.
Unscrew the housing of the track spotlight and remove the old light source.
Insert a new LED GU10 light source and tighten the housing again.

Periodic checks

Check that the track is still firmly attached to the ceiling or wall.
Check that the connectors and track spotlights are tightened securely.

Can I connect multiple tracks?

Yes, use connectors for this.

Are the fixtures dimmable?

Yes, the track is dimmable when used with dimmable light sources. Our fixtures are also compatible with Philips Hue light sources, so you can easily integrate them into your smart home system.

Can I mount a pendant light on the track?

Yes, with a 1-circuit pendant light adapter, you can easily attach a pendant light of your choice to the track.
