What is 3-circuit track lighting?

A 3-circuit track system contains four copper conductors: three phase wires (L1, L2 and L3) and a neutral wire (N). This makes it possible to create three separate circuits on one track, which can be switched and dimmed independently. This allows you to control different zones in a room separately.

Installation guide

1. Preparation

1. Determine the desired location and measure the length.
2. Ensure a flat and sturdy mounting surface.
3. Switch off the power before you begin.

2. Installing the track

1. Mark the mounting points on the ceiling or wall.
2. Drill the holes and insert wall plugs if necessary.
3. Secure the track firmly with screws.
4. Place the end caps on the ends of the track.
5. If desired, you can connect multiple tracks using connectors.
6. The track can also be surface-suspended using pendant sets and steel cables.
7. Pay attention to the polarity! An incorrectly positioned track will not function. Check the markings and ensure that the power connector is correctly positioned.

3. Installing connectors

1. Loosen the screws, but leave them in the connector.
2. Insert the connector correctly into the track, paying attention to the grooves.
3. Tighten the screws to connect the tracks firmly.

4. Attaching the track to the ceiling

1. Choose the correct plugs and screws for your ceiling.
2. Hold the track against the ceiling and mark the drill holes.
3. Securely mount the track with screws.
4. Preferably work with two people for easy installation.

5. Connecting to the power supply

1. Attach the power connection to one end of the track or use a central power feed.
2. Connect the wiring correctly according to the circuit layout (L1, L2, L3 and N).
3. Check that the electrical connections are secure and correct.
4. Optional: connect a socket module or emergency lighting to the track.
5. Turn on the power and test the track.

6. Installing the fixtures

1. Choose a suitable position on the track.
2. Twist and click the fixture into the track.
3. Select the desired circuit (L1, L2 or L3).
4. Check that the lighting is functioning correctly.

Use and maintenance

• Relocating: Fixtures can easily be moved or repositioned.
• Residential use: Suitable for home use, for example if you want to switch two different lamps separately.
• Maintenance: Clean the track and fixtures with a dry or slightly damp cloth.
• Inspection: Periodically check the fastenings and connections.
