3-phase Track Lighting

    Shape

    U-Shaped Track Lighting Sets

With track lighting in a U-shape, you can frame a room, part of a space, or a group of furniture on three sides. This configuration highlights both the shape and the function of the space, creating a well-defined and purposeful layout.

With track lighting in a U-shape, you can create a framing effect on the ceiling, similar to an O-shape, but with three sides. This shape can be applied at the end of a hallway or room, where you run the rails parallel to the back wall and the two side walls. This emphasizes the shape of the room and can make the space appear longer. You can also use this shape to highlight different zones within a space, by hanging the track lighting only above the seating area, for example. Whether you choose a 1-phase or 3-phase track lighting system, this flexibility remains intact.

    What You Need

    • 2x L-connector
    • 2x I-connector
    • 5x voltage rails
    • Track spots

The list above can of course be expanded or adjusted to your preferences. Depending on how large you want the shape of the track lighting, you can add multiple voltage rails. Just be sure that there is always a connector between two voltage rails to ensure the entire track is supplied with power.

The advantage of the U-shape over the O-shape is that you don’t have to worry about the length of the sides. You can make one side of the U-shape longer than the other if it better fits the space. This shape gives you a little more freedom, while still allowing you to create a framing effect that separates part of the space from the rest.
